I'm really glad I watched this! (Here from your vanilla sock video). I mostly knew how to cast on but I never learned to twist the stitch in that last step as you put the new stitch onto the left needle. The stitches lie so much smoother and looser that way!

I have some very confusing directions to make a pillow with circular needles. To start the pattern it says to make a crochet chain of 55 stitches, then using my circular knitting needle, pick up and knit 54 stitches on the top of the chain, and then pick up 54 stitches from the bottom of the crochet chain. And then it says to knit the first row of 108 stitches and place markers at the end of 54. It says this will form a closed bottom of the pillow. I cannot locate any videos or help. I get picking up stitches but I don’t know how this becomes a row of 108 if it is top and bottom of a crochet chain. I am really stumped and it’s bugging me! Haha. Any help would be appreciated !!

It doesnt take more time yo do English knitting once you vecome proficient ... Your hand shouldnt leave the needle to throw. Both are equal.

Hi, most of the time when knitting flat you will purl these stitches on the back side and knit them on the front. There are usually some plain stockinette rows between each cable row too. Hope that helps!
